Our Lady of Lourdes, East Kilbride

Founded in 1958, Our Lady of Lourdes parish has been a cornerstone of Catholic life in East Kilbride for over six decades. The church, located in the heart of the Westwood area, was solemnly opened in 1964 by Archbishop James Donald Scanlan of Glasgow. As part of the Diocese of Motherwell, the parish has grown into a vibrant and inclusive community, rooted in faith and service.

From its earliest days, the parish has been dedicated to nurturing spiritual life through the celebration of the sacraments, outreach to the vulnerable, and support for local schools and care homes. Today, Our Lady of Lourdes continues to be a welcoming home for worshippers of all ages, offering daily mass, community events, and opportunities for prayer and reflection.
