THE ROAD TO EMMAUS. The road to Emmaus is our road. It runs through our own fields and boreens, Through days when the heart is heavy. Like the disciples, we walk and talk, Turning over our worries, Trying to make sense of things. And all the while, Someone walks beside us. Quietly. Gently. Unnoticed. We do not recognise Him because We are caught up in ourselves. And yet… something stirs. A small warmth. A sense that we are not alone. And then, in something ordinary – A moment, a word, our eyes are opened. And we see: A stranger on the road is never a stranger.
